Congratulations to Androscoggin Valley Hospital in Berlin, N.H.
This critical access facility, which was Amplion’s very first customer, was recently featured in H&HN’s June cover story for drastically reducing their number of patient falls.
Since installing Amplion Alert, Androscoggin has not experienced a fall with serious injury in more than three years, according to Clare Vallee, R.N., Androscoggin’s Vice President of Nursing Services. That’s a significant change from when Androscoggin would see 15 to 20 falls annually.
“We go months now where we have zero falls, which we just never, ever hoped could happen,” Vallee told H&HN.
H&HN also interviewed Jean Wolf, Androscoggin’s director of quality and patient safety, for the story.
Wolf credits specific Amplion Alert features, namely, the ability to send fall alerts directly to caregivers and to help nurses stay on top of hourly rounding — for helping them reduce falls and raise HCAHPS rankings.
