Amplion Messaging & Reminders Suite

Our advanced messaging functionality enables you to provide next-level, in-room care. Clinical Care Dashboards are installed at nurse stations and used to deliver patient alerts, which are visible via hallway screens and delivered to wireless phones. Reminder messages to the clinical team improve patient satisfaction and safety by enhancing the quality and consistency of call response, rounding, turns, pain and vitals.

With Amplion’s CTC (Care Traffic Controller) PC at each nurse station, you can:

  • Assign beds to specific staff members
  • Enter patient profiles to document: fall risk, isolation, rounding, other special needs unique to that patient
  • Indicate patient profile on patient dome light (fall risk,isolation,etc)
  • Sent messages, which appear on screens, along with any escalations to other staff members
  • Deliver profile-based reminder messages for rounding, turns, pain, vitals
  • Enable automatic message escalation capability (show escalation messages to staff on screens)

Our Care Assurance Station

on the footwall of patient beds enables:

  • Recording in-room response, time, and staff type
  • Reminder reset (rounding, turns, pain)

Bed status function is enabled, allowing the following abilities:

  • In-room status button on patient station to indicate when bed goes from Occupied to Out-of-Service, to Available
  • Change can appear on large screen as notification of Ready for cleaning or Available
  • EVS can have notification screen in their office
  • ER/Admissions can see real-time bed status for admit decision making

With Amplion’s Advanced Messaging/Reminder Suite:

  • All messages appear on large screens on hall walls with name of actual staff person receiving message and time received, along with any escalations to other staff and time, for teamwork support
  • Messages sent change patient dome lights to enhance communications to staff
  • Messages can be directed to staff wireless phones of different types and the system verifies that the message was received at the phone by means of an “Acknowledge” sent back automatically by the phone.
  • Messages can be annunciated at the phone with custom sounds or even a spoken text such as “Fall Alert Room 114”
  • Messages sent to phones can be responded to with “Accept” or “Unable”. Unable responses immediately escalate until available caregiver can be located.
  • Many messages are automatically generated by events detected during the nurse call and reminder timer processes
  • CTC can use drop down to select from pre-defined common messages which enables:

    • Quick message send

    • Automatic message escalation paths which can be different for each message

    • Accurate reporting down to the detailed message and staff person
